Dr Mark McCombe trained at the University of Melbourne, St Vincent's Hospital and the RVEEH. After completing specialist training he undertook a Fellowship in diseases of the retina & Vitreous in Melbourne, followed by another Fellowship at Moorfields Hospital in London. After his return he was appointed to the Vitreoretinal Unit at the RVEEH. He is in private practice at East Melbourne and North Balwyn.

He has a special interest in diabetic eye disease. He was an author of the NH & MRC publication on diabetic eye disease. He is active in the affairs of RANZCO, having been both a State and Federal Councillor and has also been involved in the organisation of the RANZCO National Conference on a number of occasions. Top
