Dr David Workman
MB, BS, FRACS, FRANZCO, FRCOphth (UK), FAAO(USA)
Dr Workman completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and then completed his medical specialist training in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital (RVEEH). He worked as a Retinal fellow before establishing the North Balwyn Eye Clinic & Laser Centre in 1989 where he is in private practice.
Dr
Workman has a public appointment at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear
Hospital where he is Head of Clinic and Chairman of the Senior Medical
Staff. He has also been Chairman of the Eye Section of the Senior
Medical Staff.

He
is an active member of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College
of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO). He was a member of the State Committee
of RANZCO for 10 years, including 5 years as Honorary Secretary
and a term as Chairman and was also a Federal Councillor for 5 years.
Dr Workman is involved in the teaching of ophthalmic trainees, medical students, GP's, Optometrists and Optometry students. He is a member of the Qualification & Education committee (Victoria). He has lectured both in Victoria and interstate on advances in cataract surgery and other subjects including Aviation Ophthalmology.
He is involved in research and has published in the ANZ Journal of Ophthalmology on several occasions, given advice to Drug Advisory Committees and the Medical Board, and has been on several Medical Advisory Boards.

He
is also a Designated Aviation Ophthalmologist for the Civil Aviation
Safety Authority and is authorised to certify civil pilots, aircrew
and air traffic controllers for aviation purposes. He has his private
pilot's licence.

Dr Workman is also a registered surgeon with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Top
